Rotary Evaporator 50L Manual Lift:
Our 50 Litre Rotary evaporators are perfect for removing unwanted solvents from extracts using evaporation as a gentle yet efficient way of performing this task.
Our Rotary evaporator has a motor which is digitally controlled that works between 0-120rpm this allows you to rotate the evaporation flask thus leaving a thin film of oil and solvent around the bowl increasing the surface area and thinning the liquid, allowing it to evaporate quickly whilst it rotates in the heated water bath. The adjustable speed of rotation allows for the evaporator to maximise the efficiency depending on the viscosity of the material used.
The Teflon heated water bath has a fully enclosed 6.5kw heater which has a working range of room temperature up to 100 degrees C, which can be set using the digital LCD controller. The evaporation flask can be lifted quickly from the water bath, which is controlled by arotating handle. Depending on the volume of material placed in the 50L evaporation flask, the bath can be raised between 0-150mm.
A vacuum is pulled on the system using the ARV 30 rotary vane pump, done by attaching a hose from the pump to the vacuum nozzle found on the condenser. The Rotary Vane Pump allows for continuous use.
Once the pressure has been lowered on the Rotary evaporator the boiling point of the material in the evaporation flask is reduced, thus allowing for the solvent to efficiently be removed while keeping the quality of the material high. Cold liquid is then pumped around the condensing coil using the recirculating chiller, helping the vapor condense back into a liquid/solvent which is then collected in a 20-litre condensate-collecting flask found at the bottom of the condensing coil. The solvent can then be removed from the condensate-collection flask for re-use.
Using our Rotary evaporator is a great way to get clean Extracts while re-using your solvents your extracts can then be further refined using our short path distillation equipment.

The PEX range of recirculating chillers are a high quality, durable and extremely efficient sealed unit, making them perfect for larger scale operations and use with rotary evaporators. This series provide precise and reliable temperature control, with fast and efficient cooling. With a cooling capacity of 13140w, this chiller is perfect for efficiently cooling the Condensing coil of the Rotary Evaporator.
With a large cap on the top of the unit and a built-in glass capacity reader, the user can quickly fill the chiller with their desired coolant to the required level.
The internal plate inside then chills the coolant to the user set temperature as it enters the chiller’s reservoir. The inbuilt pump then pushes the chilled fluid around the connected apparatus, lowering the systems temperature, before looping back around to the reservoir to begin the process again. With ease of operation being paramount, these chillers could not be simpler to use, and come with an in-depth user guide to help you can use the chiller to its maximum potential.

The ARV-30 is a top-of-the-range, industrial vacuum pump. It has a range of applications from vacuum ovens to rotary evaporators, to short path distillation due to its continuous use ability and low micron vacuum.
Rotary vane - also known as sliding vane pumps - are designed to pump for extended periods of time and are renowned for their ability to pull down to a deep vacuum. They are extremely reliable and work via a positive displacement principle, essentially trapping the fluid/vapour as it is pulled into the inlet pipe, trapping it in-between the vanes on the inside cam and forcing it through the outlet/discharge pipe.
Rotary vane pumps are a versatile solution as they can handle low to medium viscosity fluids and non-lubricating fluids because there is no metal-on-metal contact within the pump. This additionally means that the pump can maintain a high performance and has a very long-life span. Where the rotary vane truly excels however, is handling low viscosity liquids, such as propane, butane, solvents, and alcohols. The included cold trap then ensures any solvent vapours that may be pulled by the pump are collected before meeting the pump itself, increasing the overall lifespan and minimising any potential damage.
